Queen Mary and her Cultural Depictions

In collaboration with Rosamund Gravelle (playwright and author of “Three Queens”) and Dr Peter Stiffell, I spoke about representations of Mary I in modern popular culture as part of the English Catholic History Association’s ongoing series of talks. I focused especially on how Mary’s legacy was created throughout the reigns of Elizabeth I, James VI & I, and Charles I as well as during the English Republic.

A recording of the talk is available on the ECHA’s YouTube channel here.
